Here is a preview of the next evolution of the Porsche 911. The following spy shots have been captured a few days ago at the Nurburgring. Porsche engineers are at work to develop the next generation GT3, equipped with the first variant of the renewed 6-cylinder boxer: the 3.8-litre direct injection engine is expected to produce a staggering 450 hp, 15 hp more than the outgoing generation and 50 more than the Carrera S. The six-cylinder unit will be mated to a dual-clutch PDK gearbox, which underwent a few changes compared to the version designed for the standard 911: the new gearbox should be called PDK-S and will ensure shortened shifting time. The GT3 will feature a new specifically designed aero kit and a lightweight chassis. It is expected to debut by the end of 2012.
