Mercedes-Benz releases two new official videos dedicated to the new A-Class, which got unveiled at the latest Geneva Motor Show. The model is a premium car (as you would expect from the German carmaker) competing in the fierce C-segment, and is aimed at a variety of people, from the young men looking for a compact sporty car to the ladies who are after a trendy vehicle that could be used on a daily basis.
The engine range consists of three gasoline and two diesel units: the A 180 BlueEFFICIENCY produces 122 hp with 200 Nm of peak torque, the A 200 is capable of 156 hp and 250 Nm while the more powerful variant and the A 250, the most powerful one of the lot, is credited with an output of 211 to 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm between 1,200 and 4,000 rpm. On the diesel side there are the 180 CDI with an output of 109 hp and 260 Nm of peak torque and the 200 CDI, with 136 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
At the next edition of the renowned Swiss fair there will be the unveiling of the A-Class 45 AMG, which will mark the beginning of a new era for the 3 pointed star house as it will be the very first car produced by AMG for the compact segment. Under its hood will pulse a 2.0-liter turbo engine mated to the 7-speed AMG Speedshift DCT dual-clutch technology and all-wheel drive.
