Peugeot has hired street dancer Marquis Scott, aka Nonstop, to promote its 208. In this video, the young lad, is seen showing his best moves dancing on a Dubstep base. We’ve already spoken about the small French car in every detail, in a post published a few days ago. Before leaving you to enjoy Nonstop’s brilliant performance here is just a reminder of some basic information: the 208 comes with a range of eight petrol and diesel engines (including the innovative three-cylinder petrol), five trim levels and prices starting at £9,995. Moreover, the innovative “Peugeot & Go” formula offers long term lease to individuals.

Peugeot introduces the RCZ Brownstone, a new special edition of the Peugeot RCZ that will be produced in 150 units for the German market only. The model will be available with only one color scheme option for the livery: Guaranja Brown as main color, black for front grille, brake calipers and roof and silver for the longitudinal stripe and side fascias. the aesthetics of the car also benefit from a set of athletic looking ‘Magny Cours’ 19″ 5-spoke burnished alloy wheels.

The interior is characterised by the exclusive Cohiba Leather and Alcantara material on the sport seats, dash panel and door trim panels. Standard equipment includes the ‘Sport Package’ (with shorter shifter and leather sports steering wheel), the ‘Comfort Package’ (which provides for front parking sensors, automatic low beam switch and rain sensor) the ‘Xenon Package’ (with dynamic cornering lights and headlamp cleaning system) and a WIP Com 3D telematic system. A 240 watts 10-channel JBL sound system will also be made available as an optional extra.

The Peugeot RCZ Brownstone will come with a 1.6-litre THP petrol engine delivering 156 hp and boasting a fuel consumption of 6.4 l/100 km combined and CO2 emissions of 149 g/km. and will cost 32,650 €.

The Peugeot 408 will soon become available in several European markets such as Russia and Ukraine - where its price will be lower than the 308 model sold in those countries - and here are the first images of the European version. This version of the sedan from the French carmaker will be slightly different in comparison to the Peugeot 408 marketed in Argentina, Brazil and China: front- and rear-bumpers have a different design, alloy wheels are part of the standard equipment and the color options for the livery will be different too.

In Europe the model will com with either a 120 hp 1.6-litre VTi petrol engine or 143 hp 2.0 petrol unit, with the latter that can be coupled with an automatic gearbox (as opposed to the standard manual transmission). The 408 will measure 4.68 meters in length, which will have it positioned in Peugeot’s range between the 308 and the 508.

Peugeot is at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show with three brand new models: the new 4008 crossover and the concepts 208 Gti and 208 XY. The 208 Gti anticipates a possible sporty version of the little hatchback and is equipped with the same engine as the RCZ: a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder THP unit delivering 200 hp and 275 Nm of torque coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox that can push it from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7 seconds flat.

The 208 XY instead might be the first attempt at making an especially refined version of the model: this prototype has been designed and built paying a lot of attention to every detail, and its interior uses premium materials and top-notch finishing. This model is equipped with a 1.6-litre e-HDi units delivering 115 hp and rolls on classy two-tone 18″ alloys.

The Peugeot 4008 debuts with what should be the definitive version that will hit the showrooms this Spring. Measuring 4.34 meters in length, the new all-wheel drive crossover model from the Lion house boasts a captivating and yet athletic design that seems to have met the taste of the audience in Geneva. The model will come with two diesel engine options: a 1.6 HDi producing 112 hp and a 1.8 HDi delivering 150 hp, both of which can be coupled to either a manual or an automatic 6-speed gearbox. Also making an appearance at the Peugeot’s booth and in our exclusive photo gallery is the restyled 107, which was premiered at the recent European Motor Show in Brussels.

Peugeot has released a video of the 208 GTI Concept, sporting version of the small French hatchback that will be unveiled at the next 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The Concept car is powered by the same 1.6-litre 4-cylinder THP unit of the RCZ, delivering 200 hp and 275Nm of maximum torque.

The 208 GTI Concept accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in less than 7 seconds, thanks to its front wheel drive connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Aesthetically the GTI differs from the standard 208 version for the dedicated aerodynamic kit and other exterior features such as alloy wheels and the GTI badge.

Inside the passenger compartment is lined with leather and Alcantara, featuring plenty of racing elements and boasting a high-tech infotainment system with Internet connection. Mass production of the car has not yet been confirmed, but considering the history of Peugeot, a sport version of the new 208 will be most likely.

Peugeot will show up at the next Geneva Motor Show with three important new models: the 4008, the 208 GTi Concept and this 208 XY Concept. The model comes with top notch materials and trims, and can be recognized by its purple leather finishing, crimson stitched leather on the dashboard, armrests and gear-lever, grey leather upholstery got the seats and also the exclusive leather steering wheel.

As for the exterior, the 208 XY comes with a special 16-layer crimson livery called “Pulsion” which, apparently, gives a different perception of the color depending on viewing distance and angle. Exclusive 2-tone 6-spoke alloys and the different grille (with 3 horizontal bars) also play their parts in making the XY looking quite different from the rest of the 208 line-up. The model is equipped with a 1.6-litre e-HDi diesel unit already featured in 208’s engine line-up, delivering 115 hp and mated with a 6-speed manual transmission. XY Concept: Urban chic
Powered by a 1.6-litre e-HDi engine, developing 115bhp and equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox the XY Concept transports its occupants in a refined environment, with a Crimson colour treatment applied to exterior bodywork and the decorated interior.

Special ‘Pulsion’ paintwork means the XY Concept appears to constantly change, depending on the distance and the position from which it is viewed. This ability to transform is the result of an exclusive method, based on the very precise application of sixteen coats of paint and lacquer.

The passenger compartment is trimmed with crimson stitched leather on the dashboard, armrests, steering wheel rings, gear lever gaiter and sides, and with stripes on seat inserts and floor mats, while the panoramic glass roof is edge-trimmed in black leather.

Pearly grey leather pleated seats feature five metal rings, which pinch and tighten the material. This precision in the working of the material continues with an exclusive steering wheel in leather, with crimson micro-stripes with a chrome insert in the lower section. Bathed in the natural light provided by the panoramic glass roof, with white ambiance lighting, the finishing touches to the interior add a ‘gunmetal’ aesthetic treatment to the door crossbars, steering wheel decorations and vent trims.

The XY Concept rides on exclusive dual-effect 18″ alloy wheels complementing its ‘Pulsion’ colour and special detailing with coloured chrome decorating the panoramic glass roof trim. The lower window edge and the quarter panel are finished off with a special grille treatment with three horizontal chrome bars.

Peugeot releases pictures and info of the 208 GTi Concept, which will be introduced to the world at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The car is based on the 3-door version of Peugeot’s new 208 hatchback and is powered by a supercharged 1.6-litre 4-cylinder THP unit delivering 200 hp and 275 Nm of peak torque, coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox that transfers the power to the front axle. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds.

From an aesthetic point of view, the model uses a distinctive aerodynamic kit featuring side sills as well as a number of specific badges spread all across the car’s body. In the cabin we have a sporty steering wheel coated in perforated leather, sports seats trimmed with Nappa leather, capped alcantara dash with contrasting stitching, a roof lining that is entirely black, aluminum pedals, LED technology backlighting the surrounds of its high-tech instruments and the mandatory info-tainment system with internet connectivity.

At the moment Peugeot has not officially confirmed whether this car will eventually hit the market or not, but the fact they are about to introduce it in Geneva is a sign that they are at least thinking about it. In comparison to the standard model, the 208 GTi Concept boasts a 36 mm wider track, which will measure 1,506 mm at the front and 1,503 mm at the rear. It also comes with a set of 5-spoke 18″ alloys fitted with 302 mm discs at the front and 249 mm discs at the back, mated to red-painted calipers. Did you notice the lower bar on the front grill sporting the Union Jack? That can be changed into a French ‘Le Tricolour’ flag too, if you feel like. GTi Concept: The re-generation of a legendary icon

The first sensations are completely visual and evident as soon as the GTi Concept is revealed. Instantly characterised by being the performance icon of the 208, it features chequered-flag motifs that embellish the metal mesh of the grille, and the lower bar proudly affirms its origin by displaying the French ‘Le Tricolour’ flag or the Union Jack when in the UK.

Other distinctive exterior features include: double chromed exhaust tailpipes, aero lower bodywork spoilers and lower sill skirt extensions that all capture the signature badging. Placed within the grille is the brushed aluminium GTi Concept logo that can also be found on the rear quarter panels, as a salute to its illustrious predecessor - the legendary 205 GTi.

On the inside, the passenger compartment is a true GTi environment, with a characteristic sports leather stitched steering wheel, the treatment of which is replicated on the sides of the gear lever, double stitching in the seats and enhanced with LED backlighting to the surrounds of the high-tech instruments. The sports seats are trimmed with Nappa leather on the outer section, and cloth in the centre with an embossed tartan motif, and a leather head restraint.

The red perforated leather steering wheel continues the check motif, and has a pronounced lower flat section, which carries the GTi Concept logo set in an aluminium ring. To complete the sports interior, the fascia capping is dressed in Alcantara with grey stitching, the roof lining is entirely black and the pedals are aluminium. The centre console architecture and ventilation vents all feature a graduated red to black effect, and the chequered-flag theme is also present on the aluminium door crossbars.

The GTi Concept takes its propulsion from the powerfully-compact RCZ THP 200 engine. Combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the 1.6-litre THP engine puts its driver at the controls of a machine that captivates the potential for a great driving experience. Like all 208s, a small steering wheel greets the driver and with the GTi Concept, this accentuates the dynamic capability of this car with the enhanced power available. With the raised instrument panel in line of sight, the information is clearly visible from the dials that have a brushed aluminium background and very precise graduations.

The GTi Concept also benefits from the improvements that characterise the 208, taking full advantage of its compactness and lightness, delivering road-holding that is both excellent and precise. To enhance the dynamic experience, it has a 36mm wider track, at the front and at the rear, and a rear roof spoiler to generate down force at speed. For optimum braking performance, the GTi Concept is equipped with four discs; 302mm diameter at the front and 249mm at the rear, set off by red-painted brake callipers.

Our photographers have recently spotted the new Peugeot 301 while testing on some cold Swedish road. The model is a mid-size hatchback that is scheduled to replace the current 308 in 2013, but it is going to be smaller and lighter than its predecessor. The mule captured in these spy shots is basically the platform of the new model with the old bodywork on, hence there is not much we can say about the design of the new car. Rumor has it though that it will be is an elegant and compact mixture between the 208 and the SR1 Concept, but that’s not something we can make out from these pics: the only thing we can say is that it seems that 308’s bodywork has been modified to accommodate a shorter and wider wheelbase. However, it is known that the 301 is being developed on the same platform that generated Citroen C4 and DS4, and will come with an engine line-up made of supercharged petrol and diesel units as well as the new 3-cylinder VTi petrol engine and also an hybrid-diesel powertrain.

To the benefit of those wondering why the model is being called 301 and not 309 (as the Peugeot’s usual arithmetic progression would suggest), it is reported that the carmaker deems the ‘309′ moniker just too reminiscent of the Peugeot 309 of 80s - which is still too fresh in the memories as a “not-so-good-car” - and the French manufacturer definitely wants to avoid any sort of association between the old 309 and the new model . For the record, the old Peugeot 309 was produced in Europe between 1985 and 1993, then its production moved to India where it was built until 1997.

The first images of the restyled Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1 have surfaced on the internet. The two models were supposed to make their debut at the upcoming 2012 European Motor Show in Brussels - although they were trying to keep it quiet - but now this first bunch of images of the new little French cars have somehow appeared on the internet, as well as a few info.

Judging by these first shots, the 2012 restyling appears to be more impactful than the one both models underwent in 2008, the only one so far for the pair since their launch in 2005. The redesigned front-end of the C1 is somewhat reminiscent of the C-Cactus concept that was on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007, while other minor changes include different handles and hubtub. The Peugeot 107 instead adopts a styling quite similar to what we have seen with the recent 208 and 508, meaning a so-called floating grille as well as a ripple on the bonnet.

As for the cabin, both cars get a new steering wheel, a new gearshift lever and new upholstery patterns. Initially, the cars will be equipped with the same 93 hp 1.0-litre 3-cylinder unit of the previous version, but a new 1.2-litre unit should also be made available for the pair by the summer. Now we would expect to see a similar restyling for the third natural twin of the lot, the Toyota Aygo. However, an all-new version of the three cars is already scheduled to surface in 2014.

These spy shots we have just received confirm that Peugeot is already working on the next generation of its successful 5008 model. In comparison to the current version of the MPV, the pictured mule seems to be wider, or at least that’s the impression we have looking at those wider wheel arches. Other changes we can see for now are five wheel bolts instead of the four and that the fuel cap has changed side.

Apparently, the new 5008 will share the same engine range of the upcoming Peugeot 301, designed successor of the 308, meaning a wide range of diesel and petrol engines as well as a diesel-hybrid. The new 5008 is also expected to get lighter, more environment-friendly and more roomy on the inside, but obviously we cannot verify that from these shots.

Peugeot released an official 3-minutes long video featuring Peugeot 208 design team explaining us how they shaped the bodywork of the newborn B-segment car.

The 208 represents a significant step forward for the French carmaker as it is definitely a huge improvement over the model it is going to replace, the 207. This ambitious car is smaller and yet more roomy than its predecessor, it is 110 kg lighter, boasts a more modern design and features many details that would make it a small-size premium model: LED technology for head and tail light, infotainment system and chrome finishing for instance.

Peugeot 208 is set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012 in both 3 and 5 door configurations. The engine range consists of a 1.0 and a 1.2 three-cylinder petrol units (producing 68 hp and 84 hp respectively) with CO2 emissions of 87 g/km and a claimed average fuel consumption of 3,4 l/100 km, and a pair of no-better-specified turbocharged diesel units emitting less than 99g/km of CO2.

Three official videos starring the upcoming Peugeot 208 have been released by the French manufacturer. As reported in our previous post about this car, the 208 is a significant leap forward compared to the much criticized 207 model it will replace in the B-segment. Both interior and exterior designs have been completely revised, while the engine range is also brand new. The new model will be officially unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show .
