According to rumours, the Fiat C-Evo platform set to debut on the Alfa Romeo Milano will appear on future Jeep and Chrysler models. This is after indiscretions regarding Multiair engine technology and Chrysler assembly operations at Fiat Bertone facilities after the Fiat-Chrysler deal.
Apparently the first model that will be built on the platform will be a compact Jeep SUV, while Chrysler will use C-Evo on the new PT Cruiser and Sebring (the longer wheelbase C-Evo version). It’s even possible that the latter model will have a Lancia-branded Italian version. All new C-Evo Chrysler models should be using Multiair engines from 2011, with subsequent debuts from 2011 to 2012. We can’t help but wonder if there’s much in it for Fiat at this stage…

As already announced, the Fiat Panda will soon debut on the US market, and the Cross 4×4 city car will appear with the Jeep brand, and will be sold under the name “Phoenix”. Expected for 2011, the Jeep Phoenix is planned for success with an off-road look, practical use and different enough from the rest of the Jeep range.
Here are the first Fiat Panda reconstructions of the stars and stripes version of the Italian car. Seeing one of the originals on mountain roads in Italy, she’s difficult to recognise. Time will tell if the choice is a hit or not.

The new 4-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is coming to Europe in next year. It is 52 cm longer than the 2-door version and it will be offered with two engines: the 3.7 liters gasoline engine with 205 hp and a 2.8 liters CRD turbo-diesel engine with 163 hp, which will surely be the most popular version in Europe. No word on prices, yet.
