According to egmcartech site Shelby Performance Parts has announced the production of a new kit for the 2007-2012 GT500, to further increase its already considerable power. The American sports car mounts the all-aluminum 5.4-litre Triton Modular supercharged V8 engine, capable of delivering 558 hp and 693Nm of torque.

The kit includes Shelby- Whipple 3.4L Black Supercharger, a new Competition Heat Exchanger and Competition Intercooler Tank to reduce intake temperature and considerably boost power. The Tuner Kit should give the sports car an extra 300 hp to play with. To remember the Shelby GT500 ModelYear 2013 is pushed by a 5.8-litre V8 engine with output of 650 hp and 813 Nm of torque.

The new generation of the Ford Mustang is expected to surface in 2015, and here is a new rendering which has recently surfaced on the internet that some ‘insider’ from the US claims to be pretty close to what the final design of the model will be. The new Mustang is likely to become a global model, meaning it is being designed to meet the tastes of both American and European customers, but it will also retain several elements recalling the previous generations of this popular muscle car. However, according to website Inside Line, at the moment the Blue Oval isn’t really considering the idea of exporting it abroad.

The style of the new model will probably be more aggressive too, with a sleeker and lighter body that should draw some inspiration from what we have seen with the Evos concept. The Detroit-based manufacturer has already confirmed that the overall design and proportions of the model will remain the same (hence the long boot and short tail) whereas the technical contents will be enhanced with the adoption of a lighter frame as well as a fully independent suspension systems, both of which will improve its driving accuracy.

As for the engine range, rumor has it that a brand new supercharged 4-cylinder engine will replace the current V6, ensuring the same kind of performance with much better fuel consumption and CO2 emission figures. Almost needless to say, a classic and powerful V8 will also be part of the game. The definitive version of the next Mustang is likely to make its debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

Here are a few spy shots of the next Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, that the Blue Oval said it will come with the most powerful V8 production engine in the world. Apparently, this 5.8-litre turbocharged unit entirely made of aluminum will produce a staggering 662 hp with 855 Nm of peak torque and use an intercooler heat exchanger with the volume increased by 36% over the previous version. The model boasts a dry weight of 1750 kg and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox with upgraded gears, bearings and housing to manage its outstanding torque.

Ford also claims that the new car will be the most efficient model of its segment: average fuel consumption is rated at 13.07 l/100 km (15.67 l/100 km in the city and 9.8 l/100 km on motorways). Top speed is rated at 320 km/h (about 200 mph). Nearly every part of the powertrain has been optimized for producing the additional horsepower, including a new supercharger, new cross-drilled block and heads, updated camshaft profiles, a new carbon fiber driveshaft and upgraded clutch, transmission and axle. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 comes with 19″ forged aluminum rims at the front and 20″ on the rear.

The most interesting new model at the Ford stall in Beijing is probably the new EcoSport, a compact SUV model developed in Brazil on the base of the recent B-Max that we had seen as a prototype at the last New Delhi Auto Expo.

The Ford EcoSport is bound to become a global model and will be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine with low fuel consumption and emissions. The clean and modern interior is quite reminiscent of the style adopted by the latest Ford models, with all the basic commands within reach for the driver as well as the by now well-known Ford Sync infotainment system, which allows to read text messages and email.

The car on display at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show is the model sitting at the top of the range, with the Mars Red paint job: it uses the Titanium trim, which provides for some chrome details on the outside (i.e. the front grille) and a variety of accessories in the cabin. The seats come with some leather insert, while the passenger compartment uses a captivating two-tone color scheme and can accommodate up to 5 people (driver included). Besides, the loading space can be increased by folding the rear bench.

Here are a few spy shots picturing the upcoming Ford Galaxy, the new MPV from the Blue Oval that is expected to hit Ford’s dealerships around the world at some point next year. These new images give us the chance to appreciate more details of its exterior design, especially the front end, which is quite heavily disguised and attached to the body of a current generation model. And by the looks of it, it seems that the 2013 Ford Galaxy will adopt the same design language that we have seen on the new Mondeo. Engines and gearboxes will actually be shared with the Mondeo, meaning that we might end up seeing an hybrid version of the Galaxy as well.

Ford Racing releases the first official images and data of their enhanced version of the Mustang model year 2013. The pictured model is based on the V8 GT variant, sports a flashy ‘Gotta Have It Green’ paintjob and is equipped with a whole bunch of fancy bits that can be ordered from the Ford Racing Performance Parts catalogue.

Among the most remarkable new parts, there are a twin-screw Whipple supercharger with a 2.3-litre intercooler, 14″ brake discs with 4-pistons calipers courtesy of Italian masters Brembo, a Laguna Seca adjustable front splitter and a Ford Racing Handling Pack that includes shocks and struts from Dynamic Suspensions, one-inch lowering springs, front and rear anti-roll bars, a front strut upgrade and Ford Racing jounce bumpers.

The Ford Racing Mustang GT comes with a supercharged 5.0-litre Coyote TiVCT V8 petrol engine credited with an output of 624 hp and 726 Nm (536 lb-ft) of maximum torque with a new injection system, which is coupled to a 6-speed Getrag MT82 manual gearbox and a specific Mustang GT Side Exhaust System.

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is currently the most powerful and performing version of the popular American coupe available on the market. However, the 650 hp and 813 Nm of torque developed by its supercharged 5.4-litre V8 might not be enough for those customers looking for an even more excessive power, so Shelby decided to launch two new versions, the 1000 and the 1000 S/C, which will be officially unveiled at the imminent New York International Auto Show (April 6-15).

As you may have already figured out by its name, the output of this new range will reach the staggering 1000 hp figure, thanks to a heavily modified variant of the 5.4-litre supercharged V8 of the Mustang Shelby GT500 m.y. 2012, which uses new pistons, new rods, a new crank shaft as well as upgraded cooling and exhaust systems and also a revamped turbocharger. As a result, the Mustang Shelby 1000 will come with an output of 950 hp, whereas the 1000S/C variant (designed for track use only) will produce 1100 hp.

In order to handle all that power, suspension and braking had to be upgraded too. The pair will be produced in a limited number of units, with a price of 149.995 $ that would cover the tuning package alone. If you need the car as well, that would be another 50.000 bucks for you. The car is bound to become a valid alternative to some more celebrated and pricy supercars that are nowhere near that kind of power.

Ford has released a video featuring Fiesta ST, a car with a racing soul presented at the last Geneva Motor Show and available in Europe from late 2013. Under the hood the new Ford B-segment boasts a 1.6-litre petrol EcoBoost turbo engine coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox, with output of 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Thanks to such a setup the ST covers the 0-100 km/h, standing start, in less than 7 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 220 km/h. Fuel consumption is reduced by 20% compared to the previous version.

A dedicated team of engineers have developed a specially tuned chassis, enhanced Torque Vectoring Control system and three Electronic Stability Control settings; and has been extensively tested on the Nurburgring circuit for a total of 5,000 Km. The setup sits 15 mm closer to the ground than the standard model. Unlike the concept, the Fiesta ST will be offered only with three-doors.

As for the aesthetics a few changes have been made: a larger roof-mounted spoiler, side skirts, an innovative rear diffuser and twin exhaust pipes. Recaro sports seats, MyKey and SYNC connectivity systems will be offered as standard. The new Ford Fiesta ST will be also imported in the United States.

After displaying Fiesta ECOnetic at the last Frankfurt Motor Show, Ford announced today the start of its production. The little Blue Oval model has been presented as the car with the most efficient engine ever made and the lowest CO2 emissions. It will be available in three-door and five-door versions, in a variety of trim levels and will be assembled at the Ford’s Cologne Assembly plant in Germany.

Powered by a four-cylinder 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, the Fiesta ECOnetic develops 96 hp of output and 205 Nm of torque. The car’s emissions are so low, just 87g/km of CO2, it will be exempt from road tax and London Congestion Charge, also offering an average fuel consumption of only 3.3l/100 km. Given the continued rise in fuel prices Ford expects that, by the end of 2012, half the sales of the brand will consist of ECOnetic range of vehicles.

In addition to a variety of technologies within the engine, Ford has managed to obtain these results by using functions such as Auto-Start-Stop, new gear ratios, an Eco mode and an energy recovery system. To improve aerodynamics the car is fitted with lowered suspension, rear wheels air deflectors and advanced tyres.

Ford releases the first official pictures and info about their new Tourneo Custom, a vehicle largely based on the concept van we had seen around a while ago. The new MPV from the Blue Oval will hit the market in both 8- and 9- passenger configurations (that were introduced at the recent 2012 Geneva Motor Show) as well as a pure commercial vehicle (which will be introduced at the upcoming Birmingham Commercial Vehicle Show, this coming April).

This front-wheel drive MPV will come with just one engine option: a 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine available in power steps of 100, 125 and 155 hp. All these configurations use a 6-speed manual gearbox and boast an average fuel consumption of 6.9 l/100 km.

Standard equipment include 18″ alloy wheels the Econetic system (with Start-Stop and KERS) , SYNC voice-activated, in-car connectivity system, rear-view camera, Lane Keeping Alert and Driver Alert. COLOGNE, Germany, March 19, 2012 – Ford Motor Company today announced the dynamic new Tourneo Custom will go on sale in Europe as well as other global markets later this year.

The stylish people-mover that won admirers as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show marks the first step in Ford’s commitment to refresh its entire commercial vehicle line-up by 2014. The production version of the Tourneo Custom will be unveiled at the 2012 Birmingham Commercial Vehicle Show in April.

New levels of style and function

With its dramatic new appearance, car-like interior design and driving dynamics, smart technologies and outstanding fuel economy, the Ford Tourneo Custom brings new levels of style and function to the people-mover class.

The Tourneo Custom has an advanced, streamlined profile based on the same “Kinetic” design approach popular on Ford passenger cars. This includes a sportier stance, bold rising shoulder line, flush glazing, distinctive trapezoidal grille and prominent wheel lips.

Available in eight or nine seat configurations, Tourneo Custom offers a choice of short wheelbase (4.97 metres) and long wheelbase (5.34 metres) versions, both of which provide generous space for people and luggage.

The additional length of the long wheelbase version translates into generous extra luggage space behind the third seat row. At a height of less than two metres, the Tourneo Custom also comfortably complies with most car park height limits.

Versatile car-like interior

The Tourneo Custom also brings car-like style and sophistication to the people-mover segment with an all-new interior constructed with high quality materials. The stylish, sculpted driver-focussed instrument panel features technologies closely-related to those found in the Ford car range. The cockpit is further enhanced by a highly adjustable driving position with the steering column adjustable for reach and rake.

The rear seats are a completely new design that can be easily folded into multiple configurations and removed in segments or completely. Rear passengers enjoy a spacious environment and comfortable, fully-trimmed cabin.

Exceptional fuel economy

The powertrain is an improved version of Ford’s 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine with three power ratings: 100 PS, 125 PS and 155 PS. Featuring a six-speed manual transmission and standard Auto-Start-Stop, Tourneo Custom delivers combined fuel consumption of 6.9 l/100 km and 182 g/km CO2 emissions.

The Tourneo Custom is based on a new Ford global platform, engineered to deliver agile and responsive handling for car-like dynamics, enhanced ride comfort and reduced noise-levels; it offers outstanding functionality, durability and low cost of ownership, including an economical two-year /50,000 km 30,000 mile service interval.

New generation of Ford commercial vehicles

The Tourneo Custom and other all-new Ford Commercial Vehicles will be revealed in 2012, starting at the Birmingham CV Show in April.

Ford will also be presenting larger and higher payload Transits later in 2012. These models will be extensively sold on a global basis, including North America, and will also feature rear-wheel-drive.

Production of the new Tourneo Custom will start from mid-2012 at Ford’s plant in Kocaeli, Turkey, with market availability later in the year.

We just received a new lot of spy shots starring the next, facelifted Ford Fiesta. The latest version of the popular hatchback from the Blue Oval gets to its mid-life restyling too, as the mule caught in these pictures while doing some cold weather testing demonstrate. The front end of this prototype wears some heavy camouflage, which would have us thinking that the most relevant changes will affect this part of the car. Taking for granted that some sort of LED technology will appear somewhere in some form, we would expect more cosmetic upgrades concerning the front bumper and maybe the grille as well.

The revamped version of Ford’s successful B-segment model might also use a different design for bonnet and fenders, but the cammo of this mule doesn’t really give us any clue on this matter. The engine range of the next Fiesta should also include a brand new 80 hp supercharged 1.0-litre 3-cylinder Ecoboost engine, which has just debuted on the B-Max. The new Fiesta should appear on the market by the end of 2012.

Ford releases a video showing how the innovative ‘Easy Door Access System’ of the upcoming B-Max, the new compact MPV from the Blue oval which will be unveiled at the next Geneva Motor Show (March 8-18). The final design of the model is very similar to the concept showcased last year at the same Geneva Motor Show, and this video gives us the opportunity to see how its brilliant 360-degrees Easy Door Access System works.

The Ford B-Max will be one of the first models to be equipped with the brand new 1.0-litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost unit, which will be available in power steps of 100 and 125 hp. The engine line-up of the model will also include a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder Duratorq TDCi unit producing 95 hp and capable of traveling for 25 km (15 miles) with just one litre of diesel, with 104 g/km of CO2 level. The model is expected to hit the market by the end of the year.
