Check out this witty new commercial video dedicated to the Skoda Yeti: the rapper and co-star of the popular American program “Pimp My Ride” Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, aka “Xzibit”, takes care of the wreck of a young and nerdy looking guy. Notice how the label “Czech Coast Customs” replaces the original “West Coast Customs”, the real name of the workshop Pimp My Ride. What is the irony of an ad like this? The Yeti is not marketed in the U.S. !

American company LA Custom Coach is responsible for making one of the most original and curious Dodge Challenger-based model ever produced. We would not use the word ‘tuning’ here as it is just not fitting: what LA Custom Coach did in fact is turning the famous muscle car with the Ram badge into a proper limousine, losing basically all of its sporty feel in the process.
The model comes with a 24″ TV screen, ambient led lights, black and red leather upholstery and, obviously, the whole bar thingy. The nice people from LA Custom Coach point out that the model is already fully-working and that a second one has already been completed and is waiting in the wings, while a third one will soon be ready as well.

Inside stands out the particular finish of the steering wheel, with the lower part made of red leather. The same colour is used to decorate the large speedometer located in the centre of the dashboard. Whoever buys a Cooper S will be able to attend a driving course on ice at the rally school owned by Rauno Aaltonen and his son Tino.

The TV program Super Power Beat Down has organised an exciting drag race between two legendary cars, to fulfill every fans dream. On the starting grid are the Batmobile used in the television series Batman (aired between 1966 and 1969) and the prototype chosen by director Tim Burton in 1989, for his Batman movie. The first Batmobile was actually a Corvette C4 mounting a 6.0-litre V8 L98, with output ranging between 305 and 325 hp. Reaching a top speed of 240-257 km/h can cover a quarter of a mile in 9.5-10-5 seconds.
The Batmobile driven by Michael Keaton, instead integrates the front section of a Chevrolet Camaro to a specially crafted frame, boasting a 5.7-litre V8 engine with 290hp. It reaches a top speed of 290 km/h and takes 10-11 seconds to finish the quarter mile.

This is definitely not the usual set of spy shots that we get to receive every now and then. This time our photographers from CarPix have caught on camera a mule of the Lamborghini Aventador losing control while approaching a two-ways junction in the Artic Circle and crashing into a snow bank.
Even though this car has already been launched, it happens quite often that the manufacturers just carry on testing models that are already out there in order to improve them, which doesn’t necessarily mean that they are going to be restyled or something that radical. Initially our guys thought that this Lambo was a prototype for the next Aventador Roadster, but this was just not the case.
According to what our photographer, the Lambo enterde the corner at a fast speed and the icy surface of the road did not allow the driver to keep its line, resulting in the car skidding through the intersection and bumping in the snow. Apparently - and quite understandably - the driver was really angry at our guys when he first got out of the car, but then an Audi A6 Allroad came to the rescue and, as soon as he realized that the car did not suffer any particular problem, he calmed down and agreed to pose with a large smile and a big thumb up. At the beginning, that was definitely not the finger that our guys where were expecting to see …

General Motors and the students from Israel’s Bezalel Academy of Art and Design have created the Windows Of Opportunity (WOO), a device which will basically turn the car’s side windows into multifunctional touch screens. With the WOO, passengers will be allowed to play, draw, write messages, interact with the surroundings and so on, making bored kids complaining on the back seat a distant memory. The device is still well into its testing stage and uses both motion and optical sensor technology, but at the moment it does not feature the “smart glass” function (that would modify the transparency or black out the windows), which will be implemented if the WOO will actually enter into production.
The current Windows of Opportunity prototype makes use of four different characters/apps called Otto, Foofu, Spindow and Pond - each one of which is in charge of a single specific function - that should be able to effectively entertain the kids while introducing them to the use of the WOO. We will be waiting for further development of this interesting idea, but for now you can enjoy the exhaustive video above.
